Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who provide one-to one caring ministry to individuals facing difficult times in life—grief, cancer, divorce, financial difficulties, hospitalization, chronic illness, job loss, disability, loneliness, a spiritual crisis, or other life struggles.
Trained ministers complete over fifty hours of training before being commissioned to serve. They are equipped to provide a very high level of care. After their training, our Stephen Leaders will be matched with someone in need of care - men are matched with men, women with women. They will meet once a week to listen, care, pray, encourage, and reflect Christ’s presence in his or her life. We currently have two trained leaders and an additional eight trained ministers making a difference in the lives of our fellow parishioners. A new training session has just concluded and the ministers. will be commission at Mass June 17. If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister or know someone in need of our support, please reach out to Fr. John, Deacon Mike, Carla Buechler or Brenda Ferguson.
